CARMA "SUE" PAINTER Marion Carma "Sue" Painter, 79, of Marion, Iowa, died Thursday, May 14, 2015, a true survivor of cancer and now at peace. Funeral service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, at the funeral home. Inurnment at a later date at Elwood Cemetery, Lost Nation, Iowa. Survivors include her children, Don (Barb) Painter, Pam (Doug) Sachs, Patty (Tom) Chester, Linda (Arnie Latuska) Miracle, Lori (Willie) Geissert and Scott (Stacy) Painter; grandchildren, Nicholas, Amy (Alex), Mollie, Brandon, Justin (Maggie, friend), Travis, Spencer and Preston; two great-grandchildren, Ruby and Nolan; a long-term great companion, John Rademacher; along with several other siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; and other family members. Sue was born Nov. 10, 1935, in Weldon, Iowa, the daughter of Roy and Lucy Neal. She married Bobby B. Painter in 1954. Sue worked for a local school, Mid-American Dairy, Willow Gardens, St. Luke's, and was a long-term homemaker. Sue was a 4-H leader and card club member. She enjoyed bowling, flowers, polka and gospel music, all sports and many trips to the casinos. Sue will be greatly missed by all and will be watching over us, guiding us along the way.
