Cortez, Joanne R.
Joanne R. Cortez, 68, of Swisher, Iowa, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011, in her home. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; daughters, Trista Cortez and Tina (Bruce) Butz, both of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Ashley and Brandie Butz; two great-grandchildren, Melina and Camryn; brother, David; and sister, Charlene.
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents.
Born August 18, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Joanne was the daughter of Raymond and Helen (Sage) Hunter. On April 24, 1962, Joanne was united in marriage to Richard Cortez.
