Kamp, Margaret J.
Margaret J. Kamp, 93, of Marion, passed away Dec. 18, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, is assisting the family in the arrangements.
Margaret was born March 5, 1920, to John Schnitzler and Edith (Hiller) in Winneshiek County, Iowa. Margaret married Ole Kenneth Faaberg, who later passed away in 1972. She then married Louis Kamp, who also passed away in 1974.
Margaret worked for many years as a production worker at Rockwell Collins before her retirement.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Sonja Dunlap of Hiawatha; son, Kenneth Faaberg of Marion; daughter, Lonnie Landis of Westerville, Ohio; grandson, Kevin Dunlap of Bartlett, Ill.; grandson, William Faaberg of Waterloo; granddaughter, Ann Landis of Albany, Ohio; great-granddaughter, Claire Dunlap of Langley, Canada; great-grandson, Aaron Faaberg of Waterloo; great-granddaughter, Zoe Faaberg of Waterloo; sister, Joyce Mailey of Cedar Rapids; brother, Charles (Fran) Schnitzler of Decorah; sister, Edna Lou Schrandt of Decorah; brother, Donald (Carol) Schnitzler of Decorah; sister, Dorothy (Ronald) Barth of Cedar Rapids; several nieces and nephews; and one very special friend, Frank Klemm of Marion.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ole Kenneth Faaberg and Louis Kamp; brothers, Carl (Mabel) Schnitzler, Milton Schnitzler and John Schnitzler; brother-in-law, Ted Schrandt; niece, Becky Hauser; and daughter-in-law, Bea Faaberg.
