Lukes, Bernadine M.
Bernadine M. Lukes, 91, of Protivin, died Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at the Aase Hagen Home in Decorah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Protivin, with interment in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hugeback's Protivin Funeral Home, Protivin, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and 6 p.m. Scripture service. Visitation continues 8:30 to 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Survivors include two sons, Russell (Agnes) Lukes of Protivin and Ron Lukes (Judy Bartlett) of Decorah; two daughters, Janice (Gary) Johnson of Spillville and Shirley (John) Svenson of Webster City; a son-in-law, Dave Cress of Minneapolis; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Grace (Max) Slifka of Cresco and Florence Lukes of Robins.
