Evelyn Munson, 89, of Keithsburg, Ill., died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at home. Graveside services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Biggsville Cemetery, Biggsville, Ill. Memorials may be left for the family. Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo, is handling arrangements.
Ora Evelyn Munson was born March 2, 1929, in Carman Township, Ill., the daughter of John C. and Ora Huelet Siens. On Oct. 4, 1945, she married Charles Henry "Chub" Munson Sr. in Biggsville. They were married until his death on Aug. 29, 1996. Evelyn worked at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids for 13 years, retiring in 1985. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, camping and fishing, going to the casino and traveling.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Alice F. Munson of Keithsburg, Charlie "Dink" Munson of Cedar Rapids and Deborah S. Munson of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Pauline Myers of West Burlington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two grandchildren, two brothers and four sisters.
