ISU sells 4,800 tickets to Pinstripe Bowl

AMES - Iowa State says it's sold 4,800 tickets to the Pinstripe Bowl on Dec. 30 against Rutgers at Yankee Stadium.

The school says tickets to Iowa State's second bowl game in three years will be on sale through Thursday.

Tickets to the game are $45 or $115, and the Cyclones (6-6) are hoping to sell 5,000 tickets by Thursday's deadline.

Iowa State will be making its 11th appearance in a bowl game, and a victory would be the 500th in school history.

The Cyclones have never faced Rutgers (8-4, 4-3).
