IOWA CITY — University of Iowa officials announced Friday evening they had received reports of two sexual assaults in late October, one at a fraternity and another at a residence hall.
In each of the unrelated cases, the UI said, the victim and assailant were acquaintances.
The first incident occurred Oct. 29 at an off campus fraternity, officials said. The second happened Oct. 31 at an east side residence hall.
The university announced the assaults in a message to the campus, but did not provide more details.
