Hoffpauir, Julies Clyde
Julies Clyde Hoffpauir, 75, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, at home. A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, Oct. 1, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, where the family will greet friends from 1 to 3 p.m.
Survivors include his former wife, Kay VanNevele Hoffpauir Walton; their children, Clyde Hoffpauir of Cedar Rapids, Joseph (Denise) Hoffpauir of Cedar Rapids, Timothy (Tonya) Hoffpauir of Hot Spring, Ark., and Joanna (Tim) Sekavec of Mount Ida, Ark.; his former wife, JoAnna Schmitt; their children, Michael Hoffpauir and April Hoffpauir, both of Marshalltown; one stepson, Keith Sarver of Crowley, La.; 19 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are his two brothers, Bobby and Vern Hoffpauir, and sister, Betty Evans, all of Crowley, La.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Verbena in 2006; his parents; three brothers, Glen, Tudie and Mano; and a sister, Maxine.
Julies was born March 15, 1936, the son of Jack and Ivy (Robison) Hoffpauir in Crowley, La. He worked at Wonderbread Bakery in Wichita, Kan., and Baker Colonial Bakery in Cedar Rapids. Julies served with the U.S. Navy from 1955-1959.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Julies.
