Roushar, Joseph Paul
Joseph Paul Roushar, 52, of San Diego, Calif., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, April 16, 2010, from a fall while hiking the back country in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park in East County, Calif. Services are pending in San Diego.
Surviving are his loving wife, Carmela; son, Daniel Owen; parents, George and Marilyn Roushar of Cedar Rapids; and siblings and families, Helen Roushar of Iowa City, Tom (Kathy) Roushar, Ray and Lee, of Madison, Wis., Fran Roushar (Ron Bedford) of Cedar Rapids and Mary (Tom) Drohan, Virginia and George, of Gig Harbor, Wash; aunts and uncle, Darlene Stewart, Denton, Texas, Helen and Phil Oldis, Iowa City, and Patricia Roushar, Faribault, Minn.; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, George in 1998.
Born Nov. 1, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he graduated from Kennedy High School in 1976. Joseph was a holistic health practitioner of western studies. He married Grace Bernal in 1985 and was later divorced. He married Carmela Owen on Dec. 2, 2005.
