Arrest made in Iowa City shooting incident

IOWA CITY - The Iowa City Police Department has arrested a man in relation to a shooting incident in Iowa City on Saturday.
According to police, officers responded just before 9 p.m. to the area of Taylor Drive and Hollywood Boulevard after receiving multiple reports of gunshots being heard in that area. Once on scene, officers found a vehicle that had been shot multiple times, police said.
Following an investigation, police arrested Curtis R. Bell, 35, who lives at a nearby address on Hollywood Boulevard.
Bell is charged with possession of a firearm as a felon and reckless use of a firearm, according to police. The first charge is a Class D felony and the second is a misdemeanor.
Officers were assisted in the investigation, which is ongoing, by the University of Iowa Police Department.
