John C. (Jack) Albert, 81, of Cedar Rapids, passed away at home on Monday, Aug. 10, 2015. Graveside services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral services will follow at Christ Church Presbyterian at 11 a.m. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Jack was born in rural Ladora, Iowa, to the late Roy and Margaret Albert on July 1, 1934. He graduated from Marengo High School in 1953. Jack retired in 1999 from Gary's Foods in Mount Vernon.
He is survived by his wife, Judi, son, James (Kim) Albert; stepdaughters, Tamara Kruger, Lori (Jim) Bristow and Dawna Langan; stepson, David Kennedy; brother, Dave (Denise) Albert; sister, Cynthia Peska; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and close friends, Rick and Kay Carson.
Memorial donations may be made to Jack's family.
