Thousands of residents headed downtown Sunday, November 6, 1983, for grand openings of two Cedar Rapids facilities--the Cedar Rapids Community Theatre in the former Iowa Theatre building at 102 Third Street SE and the Ground Transportation Center at First Street and Fourth Avenue SE.
