Van Meter Inc. First to Become a Blue Zones Certified Worksite in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS - Van Meter Inc. recently became the first business in Cedar

Rapids certified as a Blue Zones Worksite by the Linn County Board of Health.

The certification is part of the Blue Zones Project, a community movement to

create healthier, happier, more productive citizens who live longer, better lives.

To become certified, aspects of worksite wellness including health education and

coaching, tobacco use, nutrition and physical activity are all taken into

The Blue Zones Worksite certification shows Van Meter's commitment to their

mention last year at the Linn County Board of Health Worksite Wellness Awards.
