Baughman, Marvis 'Ann'
Marvis “Ann” Baughman, 85, of The Meth-Wick Community, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013.
Ann is survived by two daughters, Dana Baughman Chapman (Kyle) of Cedar Rapids and Melanie Baughman Raffel (Greg) of Chesterfield, Mo.; and grandson, Carter Lyle Chapman of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle.
Ann was born July 24, 1928, in Alexandria, Va., to Ralph and Thelma Shepherd. She met her future husband, Lyle, at a USO dance. Lyle and Ann were married on Feb. 24, 1951, at First Baptist Church in Alexandria, Va.
Lyle and Ann and their two girls moved to Cedar Rapids. Ann enjoyed her family, Cedar Hills Community Church, where she had been a member since 1960, and many friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Cedar Hills Community Church, with the funeral following at 11:30 a.m. A lunch will follow at the church. A committal service with will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Kent Landhuis. Arrangements are entrusted to Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
A memorial fund in Ann's name has been established at Cedar Hills Community Church.
