Hermsen back in the Midwest League

Former West Delaware prep B.J. Hermsen is beginning his third season of professional baseball as a member of the starting rotation for the Beloit Snappers of the Midwest League.
Hermsen, 21, made 12 starts last season for the Snappers, going 4-6 with a 5.00 earned run average. He one-hit the Cedar Rapids Kernels in Cedar Rapids, taking a no-hitter into the eighth inning.
A sixth-round draft pick of the parent Minnesota Twins in 2006, Hermsen also made eight starts for Rookie-level Elizabethton last season.
Beloit's first trip to Cedar Rapids this season is May 7-9.
