A distorted picture of conservatives
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Jun. 29, 2011 11:56 am
Once again, a letter appears in The Gazette submitted by one of our enlightened progressives from our neighboring city to the south.
Ball bearings rattling in his hand, Tom Sass (June 24) launches into his opinion of conservative history and focuses on the apparent “racism” abounding.
It seems evident to me he spends a lot of time monitoring conservative sources, not unlike the people who just fine-combed Sarah Palin's email records. Only problem I have is trying to figure out if Cedar Rapids' conservative sources, FOX News, Rush, etc., are censored before we get to view or listen to them here - because I'm not getting the same picture.
Keep manipulating those ball bearings, sir, and remember, as President Abe Lincoln said, “Most people are just about as happy as they make up their minds to be.”
There are lands where the beloved leader's picture hangs in every home and opinions are of one mind. I suspect your underlying motives, but I respect your right to your opinion.
