Former Iowa State Coach Fred Hoiberg, ESPN Hall of Fame broadcaster Dick Vitale and Iowa Coach Fran McCaffery attended a golf outing near Riverside, Iowa to generate money for cancer research on June 21, 2014.
Just five days after knee surgery, Iowa All-American tackle Brandon Scherff was dressed out and ready to play against instate foe Iowa State on Sept. 13, 2014. The repair to his knee generally keeps players out for multiple weeks but Scherff practiced just two days later. When he stood at the edge of the turf at Kinnick Stadium, the student section was in a frenzy.
Iowa tackle Brandon Scherff was among 20-plus future NFL draft picks who participated in an NFL Play 60 camp in Chicago's Grant Park on April 29, 2015, the eve of the NFL draft.
Brandon Scherff was selected fifth overall by the Washington Redskins on April 30, 2015 at Chicago's Roosevelt Auditorium near Grant Park. Here he answers questions from reporters ranging from his knowledge of the Redskins' offensive lines of yore to how much he'll miss Pancheros burritos in Iowa City.
Maryland's marching band marched out of the Terrapins' Byrd Stadium after securing a 38-31 victory against Iowa on Oct. 18, 2014. It was the teams' first meeting as Big Ten opponents.
Mascots took the floor at halftime of a college all-star game on April 3, 2015 at Indianapolis' Lucas Oil Stadium. Most of the mascots were locally based from schools like Ball State and Notre Dame.
