Raymie, Robin Leslie (Buse)
Robin Leslie (Buse) Raymie of The Woodlands, Texas, formerly of Cedar Rapids, was called home to her maker on Thursday, July 25, 2013, after a sudden illness.
Robin was born July 14, 1963, to Frederick (Bud) and Sandra (Foster) Buse, growing up in a loving and happy family with three younger siblings. In 1986, she graduated with an early education degree from Iowa Wesleyan College and thus began her dedication to children. Later, in June 1986, she married her knight in shining armor, Roger A. Raymie. The couple eventually settled in The Woodlands, Texas to raise their two sons. This is where she found her true calling, teaching preschool and Mother's Day out at Crossroads Baptist Church. She was devoted to all of her “kids” - past, present and future.
Robin touched many families and leaves behind countless friends and acquaintances.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Raymie; two sons, Evan Michael and Brennan Thomas; her parents, Frederick and Sandra Buse of Missouri; sister, Laura Buse, and her children, Chloe and Sam, of Arkansas; sister, Jenifer (Buse) Carney of Iowa; brother, Brian Buse of Utah; and in-laws, Louie and Harriet Raymie of Arkansas.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at Crossroads Baptist Church, 5000 College Park Dr., The Woodlands, TX 77384.
A memorial has been established at Crossroads Baptist Church in Robin's name to be used by the preschool she loved.
