Ceynar, Jeri Lou
Jeri Lou Ceynar, 68, of Ashdown, Ark., entered into eternal rest June 12, 2010. She had fought a valiant battle against COPD and fibromyalgia for many years. Jeri chose to be cremated. A celebration of her life will be at a later date.
Born Feb. 28, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jeri was raised in the homes of her paternal grandmother, Winifred Bridges, and that of HJ Bean, “dad” to her, and her mother, Florence Bean. She attended Wilson High School. On June 7, 1969, Jeri married Michael Ceynar. Although they later moved to Arkansas, Jeri remained an Iowa girl at heart.
Jeri had a talent for art, growing flowers and cooking. She was full of humor and enjoyed doing silly things with her family. She loved wildlife, cats and feeding birds.
Survivors include her husband, Michael; sons, Tim (Jen) of DeKalb, Texas and David (Chris) of Arizona; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Barbara (Doug) Hladek of Cedar Rapids; half sister, Mary Sellers of Ashdown; half brother, Bob Bean of Cedar Rapids; nephews, Reggie of Ashdown and Douglas of Arizona; and nieces, Penny of California and Diane of Virginia. Jeri had many friends and family who loved her and will miss her in their lives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and mother- and father-in-law.
If you wish, memorials in Jeri's honor may be sent to Tim Ceynar, 129 Alamo St., DeKalb, TX 75559.
