Dynise A. Collum Jr., 64, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014, at his home following a brief illness. Services: 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 Second St. SE, where visitation for family and friends will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Brooklyn, Iowa.
Dynise is survived by two sons, Bryan Collum, Cedar Rapids and Tim Collum, Utah; two sisters, Connie Jo (David) Obenhaus, Cisco, Texas, and Charolette (Andy Casto) Vander Ecken, Mitchellville; favorite niece, Treasa (Craig) Mitchell-Arterburn, Mitchellville; niece, Charlene (Tracy) Root, Ark.; and nephew, James (Sonya) Wickersham, Neb.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Marie Collum; and parents, Dynise and Amanda (Farrell) Collum.
Dynise was born Sept. 1, 1950, in Iowa City, and grew up in Williamsburg. He was a 1968 graduate of Williamsburg High School. Dynise was employed by the Linn County Department of Transportation for 40 years, until his retirement in 2013.
He enjoyed going to Rumors Bar and Grill to listen to the bands and for "card night."
A memorial fund has been established.
