Timothy John Knutson, 45, of Cedar Rapids, died of lung cancer in his home surrounded by family on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014. A funeral service celebrating his life will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, with Cedar Memorial Certified Celebrant Julie Freese officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at the

chapel.

Survivors include his children, Amanda (Zack Knight) Knutson of Cedar Rapids and Jakob (Alyssa Hilton) Knutson of Vinton; grandchildren, Mason Knutson and Maya Knight; parents, John and Virginia Knutson of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Jennifer (Dave) Maus of Cedar Rapids and Kris (Ted) Noring of Cedar Rapids; special friend, Nicole; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and beloved companion, Samson.

Tim was born June 24, 1968, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the son of John and Virginia (Bailey) Knutson. He graduated from Kennedy High School in 1986. In 1990, he married Michelle Klaner. They later

divorced.

He was last employed by NCS Pearson. Tim was a former member of the Isaac Walton League, enjoyed nature and animals, fishing and pistol shooting. He especially enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, driving his Camaro, and spending time with his family and friends.

He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
