At noon Dec. 3, I was involved in a three-car collision at the corner of Eighth Avenue and Sixth Street SW in Cedar Rapids. All three vehicles were disabled. One driver was injured and had to be cut free of the vehicle.
I must compliment the first responders, police and firefighters who arrived at the scene within 3 minutes after the accident occurred. Everyone was kind, polite and professional. Witnesses who stopped were also comforting and helpful. A thoughtful gentleman appeared with coffee.
Cedar Rapids is a special place. You can be proud of your police, firefighters, emergency responders and citizens who took time to lend a hand. God bless you all!
