Klegseth, Berdiva A.
Berdiva A. Klegseth, 92, a resident of Living Center East, died there Friday, March 22, 2013, after a long illness. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Osborne of Camanche and Debra (Les) Eggers of Marion; two sons, Conrad (Mona) of New Orleans and Kenneth of Fountain, Colo.; and a brother, David (Lynn) Folkedahl of El Paso, Texas. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Beverly; a granddaughter, Monica; and a great-granddaughter, Samantha.
Berdiva was born Nov. 2, 1920, in Spring Grove, Minn., the daughter of Knute and Clarissa (Mestad) Folkedahl. She married Olaf G. Klegseth on July 30, 1937, in Spring Grove. He died in 1974. Berdiva was a department manager at Sears for over 12 years, retiring in 1972.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Cedar Valley Rock and Mineral Society. Berdiva was a very talented artist and participated in the Witwer Center Art Program. She enjoyed reading, studying the Bible and especially time spent with her beloved family and friends.
Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial donations may be given to First Lutheran Church.
