CEDAR RAPIDS – Chicago will be the first performers on stage at the McGrath Amphitheater for the 2015 season. Tickets will go on sale Friday, January 23.
'It will be the first high-scale touring show we've done at the amphitheater since it opened,” said Michael Silva, assistant executive director for VenuWorks Properties.
For the first time, all tickets will be sold as reserved seating with prices ranging from $47 to $151. The performance will be on May 21 at 7:00 p.m.
'For a band like Chicago and bands of their caliber, prices are going to be a little higher. But you get what you're paying for.”
Silva said seated plans may be used for future shows, as well as a hybrid plan, with open space up top and reserved chairs closer to the stage.
He also said more people can fit inside the venue when reserved seating is used.
