METH SEIZURES UP:
Meth isn't grabbing big headlines like it did during the last decade, when Iowa struggled with hundreds of toxic meth labs. But according to a new report by the Governor's Office of Drug Control Policy, law enforcement has seized 64,000 grams of meth so far this year, the most since 2005. Meth-related prison admissions made up more than half of all drug-related admissions last year.

AIRPORT SECURITY BREACH:
It's become an all-to-familiar story in our digital age. Customers who used credit or debit cards at The Eastern Iowa Airport's parking facilities between Sept. 29 and Oct. 29 may have had their card information compromised. Airport officials discovered the breach and have taken steps to stop further problems. But affected customers must now keep a close eye on their accounts.

DECLINING ENROLLMENT:
After reporting its first enrollment increase since 2005 last year, the Cedar Rapids Community School District saw its enrollment decline slightly this year. The 149-student drop isn't large, but any decline and the loss of per-pupil funding it brings is bad news for a district stretching already scarce resources. School officials are optimistic that enrollment will rebound.
