Donna M. Haar, 90, died Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, at St. John Lutheran Church in Newhall, with the Rev. Steven Rempfer
officiating. Committal services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church in Newhall.
A memorial fund has been established for the Vinton Lutheran Home.
Donna was born May 14, 1925, in Newhall to Emmett and Mary (Sindt) Seeman, and graduated from Newhall Consolidated High School. On June 22, 1946, she was united in marriage to Arnold Haar at St. John Lutheran Church in Newhall. The couple farmed south of Newhall before their retirement. She served her congregation as a volunteer for many years.
Donna is survived by her husband, Arnold of Vinton; her daughter, Janet of Cedar Rapids; her son, Steve of Atkins; her grandchildren, Jared (Melea), Jacob, Joel and Jaymes; and great-grandchildren, Melody and Violet.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Carroll and Charles Seeman.
