Rapps, Harvey E.
Harvey E. Rapps, 89, formerly of Vinton, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011, in Carefree, Ariz. Graveside services will be Saturday, June 4: 10 a.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids; and 2 p.m. at Garrison Cemetery in Garrison.
Harvey was born Jan. 21, 1922, in Timber Lake, S.D., the son of George and Nina Rapps. He farmed for a time in the Vinton area, then moved to Cedar Rapids to work for Midland Forge.
Survivors include cousins, Dorothy Matthews, Union, Mo., Marian Brecht, Newhall, Donald Dill, Vinton, and Lloyd Dill, Scottsdale, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna (Horn) Rapps; and brothers, George and Oliver.
