Richard H.W. Andreesen was born July 26, 1930, in Jones County, near Langworthy, the son of Henry and Anna Siebels Andreesen. Dick graduated from the Olin High School in 1950. He married his only love, Cleo Reuter, on Oct. 8, 1950, at Wayne Zion. Richard and Cleo farmed on several different farms in Jones County until 1961, when they moved to the Andreesen family farm.
Richard's greatest joy was being with Cleo. He was always proud of her wonderful cooking and her great gardening skills. Over the years they enjoyed many activities with their friends and family,
including dancing, playing cards and traveling
together.
Richard served on the Center Junction Co-op board. He enjoyed going into the co-op for coffee in the morning and getting all the latest news.
Richard was a lifelong member of Wayne Zion Lutheran Church.
He was baptized there on Aug. 24, 1930, and confirmed his faith on May 28, 1944. He had also served on the church council.
