Subscriber unhappy with price increase

To the editor:
Needless to say, I was shocked when I got my bill for The Gazette. This is more than a 16 percent increase in price.
I don't think any index or cost has gone up this much this year. It's too bad there isn't another newspaper in town. You have a monopoly on it.
I can see why people go to the computer. The price is up and less coverage in The Gazette.
If you want to cut expenses, quit publishing the Monday paper. There is nothing in it that can't wait until Tuesday. You're normally a day late anyway with the news.
