Harpist and Iowa City native Katherine Siochi joins Red Cedar Chamber Music violinist Miera Kim and cellist Carey Bostian for two main stage concerts this weekend. The program includes the iconic 'Trio” by Henriette Renie and 'toque de azul,” a commissioned work by Siochi's brother, Jeremiah Siochi. His jazzy three-movement piece is 'super cool, very hard and unbelievably groovy,” according to Bostian. The Siochi siblings are Preucil School of Music graduates, with whom Bostian has worked 'many times” over the years.
