Warns of dangerous refueling practices
Neale LeMense
Feb. 17, 2019 5:00 am
Each time as I am refueling my vehicle at the gasoline pump, I notice persons who are performing dangerous refueling practices such as:
l Leaving engine running.
l Reentering vehicle.
l Using cell phone.
l Smoking.
l Filling gasoline containers that are in or on vehicle.
l Leaving area while refueling.
These are dangerous practices which could cause an explosion or fire. Static electricity sparks can easily ignite gasoline vapors.
Gasoline pumps also have posted signs which explain these dangerous practices.
Please be proactive and prevent a serious injury and/or burn to you or others while refueling your vehicle by following the posted instructions on the pump.
