Tito Ortiz wants to talk to me
Mike Hlas Jun. 14, 2011 4:44 pm
Frankly, I never thought mixed martial arts star Tito Ortiz would ever want to speak to me.
And I never envisioned a situation in which I would try to interview him.
But out of the blue Tuesday afternoon came a letter from Ortiz's public relations firm, asking me if I wanted to talk to Tito on June 24.
Do I?
What would I ask him if I did? What should I ask him if I do? What would you ask him if you could?
Here's the email I got:
Hi Mike,
Hope all is well.
I am working with Mixed Martial Arts Legend Tito Ortiz (http://titoortiz.com/) and wanted to see if you would be interested in speaking with him in the run up to his next UFC fight.
Tito has a big match coming up July 2nd at UFC 132 (MGM Grand Garden Arena/Pay-Per-View).
Tito (16-8-1) would love to discuss his highly anticipated return to the octagon and what's at stake for his career in his fight against Ryan Bader (12-1), a two-time Division I All-American.
Tito is available for interview Friday June 24th between 2:00-5:00pmPST. If that day/time doesn't work for you, please let me know and I'd be happy to coordinate another time.
Many thanks in advance – look forward to hearing from you.
Best,
Shannon
