Letter: Political vitriol continues to rise

The latest shooting incident in Alexandria, Virginia, reflects the level to which political vitriol has risen and its unintended effects. At least I hope so, but I am not so sure anymore. Everyone can witness this on the liberal nightly news, talk shows comedy skits, and NYC Shakespeare In The Park performances. You can even read about it in the paper the next morning. This time-proven recipe of the leftist media and Democrat party is a family favorite.
In one large kettle on the left front burner of the stove, combine denying, delaying, lying, fake news, misdirection, innuendo, unnamed sources, and protests. While stirring the pot of Presidential Discontent Soup, blend in extreme measures of fear, anger, hate, and talks of impeachment, collusion, and obstruction. (See Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Maxine Waters among numerous others.) Add dashes of incivility, profanity, violence, and damage to other's property. Avoid the temptation of adding reason, logic, common sense, respect, and patriotism as extra ingredients.
Bring to boil. Remove while still hot and take to your local Republican's latest town hall meeting and serve hot and generously. Reheat as often as needed. Best served while boiling.
Bon Appetite!
