Few tickets remain for Jane Boyd Gospel Brunch

One of two performances of the well-known House of Blues group has sold out for the Jane Boyd Gospel Brunch on November 4. There are a few remaining tickets for the noon to 2 p.m. show.
William Smith, Jr. & The Renewed Voices for Christ will appear the Jane Boyd event to celebrate the organization's 90th anniversary. The group has performed with such notables as Walt Whitman, Aretha Franklin, Ethel Holloway, and Mavis Staples. They will be joined on stage with a variety of local gospel singers.
The Gospel Brunch, which will be held at CSPS, 1103 Third St., SE, in Cedar Rapids. Cost is $35 per person; a table for eight is $250. Seating is limited.
The menu includes chef-carved prime rib, made-to-order omelets, southern baked grits casserole, bacon, sausage, buttermilk biscuits and gravy, champagne mimosas, Blood Marys and more.
