Obama hurting our security, economy
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Mar. 18, 2012 12:43 am
President Obama and his administration are doing a great job of changing this country. They are taking over every aspect of our lives they can, and when health care is fully implemented, nothing will stop them.
They are attempting to force insurance companies to provide contraception for free (eventually including abortion), which means we all pay for it whether or not we use it or approve of it. They want to control what light bulbs we buy, what cars we drive, what we can eat/drink.
Obama is putting our national security in jeopardy. Our enemies are increasing their nuclear capabilities, while Obama plans to reduce our nuclear warheads from 5,000 to about 300 (less than China's). He also plans to cut $450 billion in military spending during the next 10 years. Anyone think we'll be safer?
Gas is almost two times higher than when he took office and he blocks many attempts to produce our own (Keystone pipeline, drilling off the coasts, Arctic National Wildlife Refuge).
Where are the congressional hearings the Democrats demanded during the Bush administration? What about TARP and the stimulus money - are we any better off?
The universe of available jobs has shrunk by more than 2.5 million, making the real unemployment rate closer to 11.4 percent. Also, 1 4 million more people are on food stamps on his watch, and 46 percent pay no federal income tax (more and more taken from fewer and fewer). And the collapsing housing market?
All this in three years. Do we really want more?
