Swick, Annabell R.
Annabell R. Swick, 81, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Sonda Kirsteatter. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial: Mound Cemetery, Watkins.
Survivors include five children, Susan (Michael) Rolfes of Cedar Rapids, Judith Swick of Cedar Rapids, Dale (Ruth) Swick of Blairstown, William (Peggy) Swick of Cedar Rapids and Franklin (Sherrie) Swick of Marion; seven grandchildren, Michael (Karolyn) Swick, Kyle Swick, Christina Rolfes (Josh Wright), Katherine Swick, Alex Swick, Shelby Swick and Emily Swick; two sisters, Freda Kearney of Cedar Rapids and Phyllis Freilinger of Waterloo; and a brother, Rollie Frozene.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Swick; a son, Allen Swick; a sister, Adeline Carrol; a brother, Harold Frozene; and two grandchildren.
Annabell was born Sept. 5, 1930, the daughter of Emil and Elizabeth (Matthews) Frozene. On Feb. 6, 1950, she married Robert Swick in Cedar Rapids. He died in February 1994.
A memorial fund has been established in Annabell's memory.
