To the editor:

I have known Susie Weinacht for many years before she became a City Council member and have known her as a champion for Cedar Rapids.

She has volunteered to better the city, whether it be on the PTA, flood recovery or putting together backpacks for kids so they could start the school year with the supplies that they needed.

She is truly excited about Cedar Rapids and its people. She has never complained about what could be, she has worked to make it happen. I know firsthand that if you have a problem she is willing to listen and work toward getting it solved even if it's on her own time. She is always available and will get back to you in record time.

She doesn't disappoint. Who could be better than someone who loves the city and its people and only has its best at heart? Proud to have her as a friend and a member of City Council.
