Waite, Wanda L.
Wanda L. Waite, 82, of 1057 Oakland Rd. NE, died Wednesday, June 9, 2010. Services: 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include her sons, Craig Alan Waite (Gayla Lewis) of Cedar Rapids and Scott Allan Waite of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; and her parents.
Wanda was born July 6, 1927, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of George and Lucille Angus Johnson. She married Donald J. Waite on July 3, 1948, in Cedar Rapids. She worked at Kresge's and later at Craemer's Department Store.
She was an honorary member of Waltonian Archers of Linn County and the Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed scrap booking, crossword puzzles, her soap operas and having lunch with the retirees from Craemer's Department Store.
Wanda was a loving and dedicated mom. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
