John A. Huelsenbeck, 68, left this world Tuesday, May 20, 2014, in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, officiated by Cedar Memorial Certified Staff Celebrant Julie Freese. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment, with military honors, will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial donations in John's name may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

John was born in Cedar Rapids on Jan. 10, 1946, to Lindsey Edgar and Frances Anna (Kasparek) Huelsenbeck. John served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He retired from Alliant Energy after 32 years in 2006.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; daughters, Paula Yoeckel and Victoria (Terry) Wheeler; son, Chance Maclin; granddaughters, Alexis, Helena, Amber and Alexandrea; sisters, Mary Meyers, Julie (David) Thomas and Patricia Dominguez; and brothers, Gilbert Huelsenbeck, James Walker and Mike Huelsenbeck.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert.
