Volunteer work evident at Iowa City park

To the editor:
Thank you to all who helped rake, cut and clean up Kiwanis Park in Iowa City on April 18.
Miss Iowa 2014, Aly Olson, and Miss Iowa Outstanding Teen 2014, Anna Masengarb, instigated the Kiwanis Park cleanup and fundraiser for Iowa Children's Hospital and Miss Iowa scholarships. They brought a great group of volunteers.
I also want to thank Carol Sweeting from water, Zac Hall from parks, the Kiwanis Club and Tyn Cae neighbors. This is a unique natural playground that was made more usable with all this help.
