Republican concerned about Social Security

The Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan tax cut was specifically designed to give its biggest benefits to the richest Americans - not just the one percent, but the one-tenth of that one percent, which includes President Trump and his family.
Behind that, in combination with the massive deficit the Republican tax plan and budget will produce, is their ultimate goal: to weaken and destroy Social Security and Medicare.
I'm a 71-year-old retired farmer. I've been a registered Republican a lot longer than Donald Trump - and, unlike him, I've never contributed to Bill and Hillary Clinton's election campaigns. Like many retired Iowans, I depend on Social Security and Medicare. I will not sit idly by while the so-called leaders of my party try to destroy the very things that protect the elderly citizens who built and made America great.
