Dick Ellwood, 60, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, at his home following a sudden illness. Per his request, a graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Riverside Cemetery, Anamosa. Goettsch Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Surviving are two brothers, Ray (Debbie) of Marion and Edward of Omaha, Neb.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dick Gene Ellwood was born Dec. 21, 1954, at Anamosa, Iowa. He was the son of Ralph and Georgia Mack Ellwood. Dick graduated from the Anamosa High School with the class of 1973. Dick mowed lawns and shoveled snow for many people in Anamosa over the years.
