Letter: Do not abolish Electoral College

Various pundits and politicians around the country would like to abolish the Electoral College because Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by 2-3 million votes.
By doing a little digging, I find that total is roughly what Clinton's margin of victory in California was. Because one state doesn't like the results of the election, we're supposed to get rid of a system that has worked for over 200 years.
If the Electoral College is done away with, then presidential candidates would only have to campaign in California. The rest of the states won't matter. Think about it.
