Work, Mina
Mina Work, 76, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, May 3, 2013, at Living Center East, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include children, Elsa Ruth (Jorge) Gonzales of Puebla, Mexico, Theresa (LaVern) Smedley of Cedar Rapids, Mina (Brett) Wood of Cedar Rapids, Clay E. (Holly) Davis Jr. of Yakima, Wash., and George Davis (Jane) Gilbert of Arizona; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Teresa Gonzalez; and two brothers, Jimmy and Lewis Gonzalez.
Mina was born June 30, 1936, in Salinas, Mexico, daughter of Luis and Teresa (Hernandez) Gonzalez. She worked as an interpreter for the courts in Junction City, Kan. Mina Loved to travel and help others learn English as a second language.
