On July 16, 2011, Sue Jameson, generous wife and mother, peacefully passed away. She spent her last days in the loving care of the staff at Highgate Memory Cottage in Bozeman, Mont. She was 81.
Sue was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was the daughter of Margaret and John D. Randall. She was an active participant in Campfire Girls growing up, as well as being an avid sports fan. She loved cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and the MSU Bobcats.
She graduated from the University of Iowa, with a degree in speech pathology. She married Bill in 1953, and worked in the field of education in many places as she followed Bill's military and postgraduate careers. She used her knowledge of speech therapy to help many children and adults.
After the birth of her two daughters, Sue spent much of her time raising them. She was very involved in their activities leading Campfire Girls' groups, attending every sports activity and volunteering at their schools. She was very active in the First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids. She was a member of PEO for over 60 years. She volunteered many hours through her membership in organizations such as Delta Gamma, Junior League and St. Luke's Hospital Auxiliary.
After her girls were raised, Sue managed the copying and printing business, Rapid Graphics, in Cedar Rapids. When she and Bill moved to Bozeman, Mont., in 1987, Sue began working at the MSU Bookstore. She really enjoyed helping the college students and making their lives easier.
Sue's favorite pastime was walking with her beloved dogs. She was also known for the beautiful, personalized Christmas stockings she knitted for family and friends throughout her life. Sue also enjoyed stamp collecting, antiquing and spending time at the family cabin near Red Lodge, Mont.
Sue's bright blue eyes and sweet smile will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
