Molitor, Donald A.
Donald A. Molitor, 81, of 2280 Mitvalsky Ct. SE, died Thursday, April 15, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center. Memorial services will be Friday at Kaminski Funeral Home in Justice, Ill. Local arrangements by Cremation Society of Eastern, Central, and Western Iowa
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Marie “Mitzi”; their children, Kurt (Debbie) Molitor of Arlington, Texas, Stephen (Gina) Molitor of Fort Myers, Fla., Donna (Randy Kasch) Wissenberg of Cedar Rapids and Matthew (Kathy) Molitor of Joliet, Ill.; a sister, Laverne Ferovick of California; two brothers, Norm (Virginia) Molitor of Orland Park, Ill., and Ralph (Judy) Molitor of Greenville, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and four plus one on the way great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Anne, Marcella and Lolita; and five brothers, Nicholas, Elmer, Frank, Earl and Vernon.
Don was born March 8, 1929, in Chicago, Ill., to Charles and Christina Kommer Molitor. He married Marie “Mitzi” Boehm on May 28, 1955, in Chicago. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a Union carpenter for over 40 years.
He was a gifted woodworker and sang in a Barbershop chorus. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends.
A memorial fund has been established.
