Wiebold, Ethel Thomas

Ethel Thomas Wiebold, 77, of Westminster, Colo., passed away peacefully on Feb. 2, 2011, with her husband by her side. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Genoa Bluff Cemetery in Iowa County.

Ethel was born to Hugh Thomas and Eva Ochs at home in Iowa County on July 11, 1933. She attended Victor High School in Iowa County and went on to work as a key punch operator for the next 10 years. In 1960, she moved to Colorado and worked as a reservations clerk for United Airlines for 27 years until she retired.

She loved to travel and was thankful for the opportunities the airline company provided her. She was able to take many great trips, sometimes with friends, to see family and explore what the world had to offer her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Russell John Wiebold, whom she married Dec. 30, 1994, at the Arvada United Methodist Church. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Ross William and Dr. Laurie Starr; many nieces and nephews; and a lot of dear friends.
