Morgan, Roy E.
Roy E. Morgan, 73, of Elk River, Minn., passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on Oct. 6, 2009. A celebration of Roy's life will be 2 p.m. today at Dare's Funeral Home, 805 Main St., Elk River (763) 263-6382. Friends may gather at the funeral home two hours before Roy's service to reminisce. Interment is private.
Surviving are his loving wife of 22 years, Ann (nee Franck); mother, Edna G. Morgan; children, Bruce (Cindy) of Rapid City, S.D., Michael (Susan) of Balsam Lake, Wis., Scott (Lorrie) of Hartville, Wyo., Theresa (Bron) Fike of Coon Rapids, Minn., and Nancy Morgan (fiance Danny Collins) of Blaine, Minn.; 22 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Terry (Diane) Fee of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and David Fee of Stuart, Fla.; and adopted daughter, Barbara (Stephen) Fischer of Blaine, Minn. Also surviving are his sisters, Rita O'Hotto and Bunny (Tom) Mueller; brother, Jimmy (fiancee Lynne) Morgan; sister-in-law, Sue Morgan of Rush City, Minn.; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, James; brother, Danny; maternal grandparents and praternal grandparents.
Roy was an avid outdoorsman and loved nature. He worked as a truck driver, warehouse supervisor and ink maker for companies such as Sun Chemical, Minnesota Wool Growers, ColorAd and BASF.
Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society, Pancreatic research.
