Orcutt, Myrtle B.
Myrtle B. Orcutt, 95, a resident of Crestview Acres, died Friday, April 1, 2011. Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include her children, Lewis L. (Carol) Orcutt of Carroll, Ellen M. (Bill) Pithan of Lost Nation, Elaine M. Orcutt of Marion, and DeEtta B. (Jim) Herdrich of Fort Madison; and her sibling, Arvilla Frarck of Peublo, Colo.
Also surviving are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and a special friend, Tom Waters of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Orcutt; a son, Thomas F. Orcutt; great-grandsons, Austin Box and Derek Box; and a great-granddaughter, April Godbey.
Myrtle was born Sept. 26, 1915, in Fort Ripley, Minn., the daughter of Leonard and Bessie Long Clark. She married Charles F. Orcutt on Jan. 3, 1938, in Wheaton, Minn. Myrtle was a member of Marion Christian Church. She enjoyed sewing quilts, crocheting, fishing and baking. Her favorite was spending time with her grandchildren.
Myrtle was a true homemaker and mother always putting her family first. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
