Dahlhauser, Phyllis Bayer
Phyllis Bayer Dahlhauser, 67, of Brooklyn, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at the Brooklyn Community Estates. A funeral service will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church near Victor. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery near Algona. Friends may call at Smith Funeral Home in Victor beginning 2 p.m. Friday. The family will be present at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday.
Her Christian faith was very important to her and she was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Des Moines and later transferred her membership to St. John's Lutheran Church near Victor. She shared her Christian faith with many of her friends and the residents of the Brooklyn Community Estates. As a Christian she was very thankful for the life the Lord gave her, especially for the peace of the Lord that lived with her.
Survivors include her son, Sean Dahlhauser of Meservey, Iowa; one granddaughter, Kelli Dahlhauser of Banning, Calif.; two brothers, Marty Bayer of Guernsey and Delmar Bayer of Victor; and five sisters, Pearl Suhr of Correctionville, Dori Stanek of Walford, Violet Hall of Blairstown, Marine Keys of Ladora and Lucy Tuttle of Altoona.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; one daughter, Joelle Ruth; and one sister, Linda Mortell.
